South Ripley Elementary will have up to five (5) temporary elementary summer school teaching positions for 2026.  Teaching assignments will be Tuesday, May 26 - Monday, June 1, 2026 from 9 am - 11 am each day, with an additional two days, Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3, to retest the 3rd grade students for their third IREAD-3 opportunity.  A current teacher licensure is required, along with being certified in the Science of Reading. The number of teachers needed will be based on the number of 3rd grade students who do not pass IREAD-3, as well as any 2nd grade student who is in the “at risk” category, needing to attend summer school.
